Q-Bo® is a wireless, energy self-sufficient screw monitoring system. It enables permanent monitoring of the preload force of any screw connections.
Screw connections are often used in critical, safety-relevant locations such as bridges, wind turbines, vehicles or machines, where they are permanently exposed to high loads. To ensure the safety of these connections, constant monitoring of the preload force is necessary.
The intelligent screw connection Q-Bo® enables wireless and energy-autonomous monitoring of the preload force during assembly and operation using a retrofittable sensor system for DIN screws. The system regularly determines the preload force and the temperature of the screw connection at the assembly site and transmits it via a standardized interface. Deviations in the preload force can be immediately detected via remote maintenance and downtime or maintenance times can be avoided. The system is supplied with energy through energy harvesting, which means that the ambient energy is used to supply the system using a solar cell or a thermoelectric generator. A power supply via a battery is also available.
The result: complete control of critical screw connections.
