Get started with mioty ® and Massive IoT
The MIOTY® Evaluation Kit MEK5.0 allows you to quickly and easily set up a bidirectional Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN). The kit contains two end points with multiple sensors and a base station to exchange data streams wirelessly in both directions. Using integrated software and appropriate interfaces, the sensor values can be visualized individually, for example via mobile devices.

The MIOTY® MEK5.0-EVAL is based on the Texas Instruments LaunchPad™ SensorTag LPSTK-CC1352R and contains several integrated environmental and motion sensors, such as: B. a temperature, humidity, light, inclination and acceleration sensor. The end point is encapsulated and battery-operated, with power consumption reduced to a minimum even when sending and receiving a mioty telegram.

About MIOTY® technology
MIOTY® technology is a software-based LPWAN standard (ETSI, TS 103 357 ) that takes a completely new approach to radio communication. Developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, it reliably connects thousands of sensors with just one base station using telegram splitting: data is sent over several kilometers in partial packets and is completely reconstructed in the base station. This new process enables extremely robust data transmission without error packet rates, maximum energy efficiency with a battery life of 20+ years and very high network scalability (3.5 million data packets per day per base station).
